School Council

School Council - 2019/20

Mrs Helsby and the children on the school council meet regularly and give feedback to classes.

So far this year the school council have updated the child friendly anti-bullying policy and given their opinions on various questionnaires for subject coordinators and for safeguarding.

Previously, the school council have helped with interviews for new staff joining the school and given opinions on the salad bar during lunchtime which resulted in a wider variety of food being introduced.
The reps wanted to introduce bottles of soap for toilets so we asked Mrs Sammon. These are now in place.
The school council reps asked classes to think of any ideas to improve the school. We passed this list onto Mrs Sammon. Some of these were actioned e.g. We now have new football goals for the field and more books in the library.
The reps voted for what where we could spend the money we received on, from Beat the Street.
They also raised some money such as the Guess the Name of a Teddy stall.
