Bridlewood Primary School and the Park Academies Trust welcomes enquires and applications for Local Advisory Board members (LAB) at Bridlewood and across our family of schools in North and West Swindon.
Local Advisory Boards support the Trustees of TPAT by focusing on strategic monitoring to achieve continual improvement within children’s education at each individual school. Acting as a critical friend you will be providing an essential role for the local school and the wider multi-academy trust. By becoming a Local Advisory Board member, you will find the interaction between the board and school, is extremely rewarding.

Introduction to, and role of the Local Advisory Board.
The school is led by a Local Advisory Board (LAB). The LAB is a committee of the main board of the Trust and is accountable to the Trustees for its decisions.
The LAB are responsible for a range of areas including:
- Ensuring that standards of attainment and progress by all pupils at the school are high.
- Taking a strategic role in the governance of the school.
- Acting as a 'critical friends' to the school and its staff.
- Ensuring that TPAT's vision for the school is carried forward.
We meet together once every two months to discuss all aspects of school life, supporting Mrs Sammon and the staffing team in the leadership of our successful school.
