PE and Sport Premium
The PE and sport premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. In 2024-25 our school received £17,770 of sport premium funding. There was no sport premium grant carried forward from the previous academic year.
You can view our annual Sport Premium Reports to see how we allocated these funds; the impact on the pupils' participation and attainment in PE & sport; how improvements will be maintained over time and the % of year 6 pupils meeting the national curriculum requirements for swimming.
Sports Council
Our Bridlewood Sports Council consists of 6 pupils from Oak Class. They aim to meet once a month to share and discuss how they can make a difference to sport and activities at our school.
The children on the council were voted by their class mates to become part of the Sports Council. The group work alongside Miss Hulse to improve sport and active lifestyles at Bridlewood. They are responsible for maintaining sports equipment, sorting kit for competition, auditing playground equipment and reviewing our offer of after school clubs. They take opinions from their school friends and feedback information which helps to inform decisions.
